Founder and Chair of Advisory Board
The founder and chair of the advisory board, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Christian Homburg, is holder of chair for marketing and director of the Institute for Market-Oriented Management (IMU) at the University of Mannheim.
Professor Homburg has written numerous books and articles in Germany and abroad. He is one of the few German professors in the area of management to attract worldwide attention. Today, he is an editorial board member of six trade magazines in the USA and Germany. He has repeatedly received awards for his academic work by the American Marketing Association, the world-wide leading scientific association in the area of marketing. In November 2005 and May 2009, he won first place in a research-related Handelsblatt-Ranking. In 2009, 2100 business-economics professors from Germany, Austria, and German-speaking Switzerland were considered for the ranking. In the American Marketing Association’s publication-related world ranking he won third place for his research work in the most outstanding marketing journals.
